The Bosch GOP18V-28N 18V StarlockPlus Oscillating Multi-Tool (Bare Tool) provides a new professional standard in oscillating tool performance. The tool furnishes the next-generation Starlock 3-D tool-accessory interface, which has more contact surface area for firm blade grip and considerable torque transfer. This adds up to better cutting, grinding, scraping or sanding. The EC Brushless motor provides better power and runtime, with a top speed of up to 20,000 oscillations per minute (opm), to finish off heavy-duty applications. A variable-speed dial allows the user to set the optimal speed for the task at hand. Constant Response circuitry maintains the desired speed under load. The GOP18V-28 is compatible with Bosch’s full line of Starlock and StarlockPlus accessories, for flush-cutting, plunge-cutting, sanding, grinding, grout removal, scraping and more. It is a bare-tool kit; the battery and charger are sold separately.

The tool provides a cupped 3-D tool-accessory interface that provides more contact area versus the conventional, flat OIS interface. The blade snaps on to the tool like a snow ski snaps on a boot, for higher torque transfer, better blade grip and greater accessory stabilisation. The new professional standard in oscillating tool systems, the Starlock interface builds on Bosch’s heritage of innovation in professional tool-accessory interfaces, such as the SDS-plus and SDS-max concrete hammer-bit interfaces and T-Shank for jig saw-blade interface.

The Bosch GOP18V-28 allows operators to quickly and toollessly change accessories, such as blades, to stay on task. Just snap in the blade, like snapping in a ski boot. Importantly, there are no losable parts, as there are on some competitor tool systems. A pull of the release lever allows the accessory to detach from the tool – no more fumbling with wrenches or touching hot blades. This system also makes it easy to reposition StarlockPlus or Starlock accessories in any of 12 positions.

The EC Brushless motor delivers corded-like performance, with up to 30% more power and better efficiency over previous-generation 18V motors. This tool produces a top speed of up to 20,000 oscillations per minute, supplying fine cuts and fast task completion. It has a 2.8° oscillating arc, for better accessory utilisation and increased productivity. Reinforced gearing and metal gear housing provide optimal force transmission. The variable-speed dial allows operators to match the oscillating speed to the material and task, with a range of 8,000 to 20,000 opm.

The Bosch GOP18V-28 Oscillating Multi-Tool weighs only 1.2kg. and measures only 32cm . long, making it compact enough to reach into tight spaces, such as corners. The tool also features a flexible accessory orientation with positions at every 30 degrees for customizable accessory positioning. An LED provides illumination for dark areas. The GOP18V-28 provides multiple soft-grip areas for better control and extended comfort.
